Position Description

Lion Bridge is looking for a professional server to serve patrons by guiding them through food and beverage selections; presenting ordered choices and maintaining the brewery ambiance. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction, achieving our mission of serving beer and food that is catalyst to conversation and community.


- Adheres to opening shift checklist, end of shift checklist and close out checklist depending when server is scheduled.

- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

- Helps patrons select food, beers and beverages by presenting menu; offering new beers; suggesting food options and specials; explaining the chefs specialties; identifying appropriate beers for new patrons; answering food preparation questions.

- Communicates orders to bar and kitchen by always recording patrons; choices; identifying patrons special dietary needs and special requests.

- Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.

- Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons choices from bar and kitchen; delivering
accompaniments and condiments as requested.

- Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.

- Maintains tables in a neat manner by removing empty glassware and plates as completed;
replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Wipes

- Concludes dining experience by thanking customers and inviting patrons to return.

- Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing bills; accepting payments delivering bill, returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

- Contributes to team effort and engages with the team in a constructive manner.

- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers at all times, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following food-handling procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are determined by management based on staffing needs. Schedule is sent with at least 10 days advance notice.

Event coordinator


Responsible for coordinating private events/parties and Lion Bridge hosted events, booking musicians, classes, tastings, staging events, managing event staff, and ensuring all events run smoothly.



- Coordinate details and book private events and Lion Bridge hosted events.

- Negotiate budgets, food & beer minimums and ensure they are adhered to.

- Work with chef and kitchen on food selection, menu and food specials for events.

- Plan the layout of seating and decorations for each event.

- Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met.

- Initiates, coordinates and/or participates in all efforts to publicize event. This includes our website, social media, and other online forums and websites.

- Edit and design promotional materials.

- Develop and oversee Lion Bridge hosted events, and neighborhood events such as Houby Days, St Joseph’s Day, Czechfest and our on-site Farmers Market.

- Negotiate and secure event deposits and rental fees.

- Work with printer to print menus, posters and other materials as needed.

- Work with rental company to rent equipment as needed.

- Manage invite list and manage RSVP list.

- Specify staff requirements and suggest the staff scheduled for the event to Front of the House manager for scheduling.

- Manage correspondence in a timely fashion with parties interested in booking events.

- Coordinate all event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations.

- Keep inventory of event supplies (snack plates, tablecloths, chafing dishes, etc) and coordinate with business manager to order anything needed.

- Ensure customer satisfaction before, during and after the event. Send follow up/ thank you notes to customers after the event.

- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day.

- Research market, identify event opportunities, and generate interest.

- As needed: Book talent, including musicians for beer releases, and tasting events with local vendors in coordination with business.


Requirements/ Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.

- Excellent organization skills and experience with project management.

- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work assignments from a variety of staff.

- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.

- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.

- Previous management experience.

- Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships.

- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.

- Proficient using the Web to conduct research, event administration and procurement. Proficient use of Google Calendar and Google Docs.

- Experience with Web communications, publishing, usability and/or social media and website management.

- Graphic Design skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position of approximately 20-30hrs per week. Pay is commensurate with experience.
